Seaside restaurant generally has good food....I have eaten there many time.It is too bad the owner cannot weed out the bad ones The food is supposed to be cooked fresh but when I bought fish and chips the other day, it was not fit to...eat. The fish was ok but could have been browned a little. As for the fries....they were disgusting, to say the least. They were not freshly cooked. They were definitely left over and thrown into the fat for a second to warm them. They were soft and soggy and burnt scraps mostly. I have phoned them regarding food before, like quarter chicken meals which were also burnt and she asked why I did not bring them back. It is not always convenient for people to drive...
Home for a visit and decided to have seaside. It was a family event and food is usually delicious. The fish was tough and obviously reheated. Some guest ate some of it due to hunger or being polite but it was not good. The wings...were awesome though. This is not the total reason for my negative review. When I called I was very polite, explained and got no apology and no offer to help. I asked what can you do and a chat ensured between the lady who answered the phone and two others yelling “well they will have to bring back what they didn’t eat to prove it. How do we know”. The food was great! But it doesn't provide anything that you cant get at the dozen or so places you will pass to get it. Great fries, good service. The dine in is a little bland, as it has some generic photos on a white...painted all. There is a nice view out the back of the bay.
We happened upon this site mid afternoon and ordered their fish and chips plate. The fish was delicious and the mountain of fries was hard to finish, Definitely value for your dollar. Our next visit we were wiser and split an order which was still...more than enough

Great restaurant in CBS...very friendly staff and the food was very good with above average size portions. Will definitely be visiting again next year on our annual trip to NL.
We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Seaside Restaurant. Great fish and chips and a wonderful clubhouse sandwich. The service was warm and welcoming.
We ordered the medium plate which came with two pieces of fish and a heaping of fries. You definitely have to get it with dressing and gravy on!

Seaside is a great place for fish and chips! Not fine dining by any means but if you want a deep fried treat this place does it great.
