Abington Plaice - Table reservation

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. When I asked the server if they had a gluten-free batter option, their eyes seemed to glaze over so I didn't push further. The large cod dish looked appetizing, but upon trying it, I found the fish to be delicious, though the batter was slightly soggy under the crispy exterior. In fact, I found the batter to be quite unpleasant and ended up discarding it. The chips were okay. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my overall experience and most likely won't be returning, even though it's conveniently located for when I visit my parents.

went here with a few mates and ordered the peri peri wings chips a battered sausage and some chicken nuggets and had to wait 40 MINUTES for the wings and we went to eat them they were either burnt or uncooked how BAD can you be at making wings you spent 40 minutes on them and some were raw, the nuggets were unedible and the chips were just dreadful the only nice thing was the sausage and when we went back to ask for a refund we were confronted by a man named paul and his son jay who told us to get out of their restaurant and threw chips at us it was horrible never go here.

The chips were tasty, but unfortunately, the meal was ruined by the overly diluted vinegar. It would be better to be transparent with customers about the vinegar being mostly water. The meal was otherwise fine, but the greasy salt and vinegar dispensers were unpleasant to touch.

What a joke,why would u have your own business and not give it 100%, not happy owner,chips under done and the pineapple fitter.

25 minutes wait for a bag of chips with mushy peas? Not even an apology when it finally arrived. Shocking service x
