We often have the post office, it is located directly at the station Ahlhorn, or at B 213 from Wildeshausen to Cloppenburg. Last year we went there by chance for dinner. From outside already inviting, from inside a large hall with fireplace, beautiful floor and old tiles on the fireplace wall. I ordered Brataal there, the part was big and very tasty. So in the middle of the Wildeshauser Geest I didn't expect such a good fish dish. There were also not all 40 places occupied by guests, but in the week a place you like to go back. The beautiful pictures on the homepage speak for themselves
I came from Upper Bavaria and was already a guest at the hotel. Room top, breakfast for at least 3 people, then I braked, it should not be thrown away. I have rarely seen such a breakfast and it doesn't have to be a buffet. Everything served at the table and by very friendly service. It just fits. In the evening you eat well and drink, go to sleep, get up, good breakfast, what do you want more?! I am here again on 27.02. to 01.03. and look forward to it.
In Ahlhorn you can eat very well in the old house. There are good-bourgeois cuisine. We like the carving dishes, but also have tried steak and various other dishes. It was always delicious. The restaurant has a very nice beer garden, here you can sit nicely in summer. It's quite quiet because he's behind the house. The restaurant is comfortably furnished.
It tasted us great and the service was very friendly. We will definitely go to dinner there.
