Dieser alteingesessene Landgasthof liegt wie man in der Gegend sagt – „beim Düwel op de Rinn“, auf Neudeutsch etwa „in the Middle of Nowhere“. Das drückt sich auch schon bei der offiziellen Adresse aus, ein Straßenname wird dort nicht genannt: Arp’s Gasthof, 24232 Flüggendorf. Serviert wird dort sehr traditionelle Holsteiner Küche. Ich zitiere mal aus dem Angebot des „Flüggendorfer Winterbuffet“ am kommenden 3. Februar (macht euch keine Hoffnung, das ist seit Wochen ausgebucht): Grünkohl, Mehlbüdel und „Großer Hans“, Rübenmus, Schwarz Sauer (mit Schweinerippchen), Kochwurst, Kasseler Nacken, Schweinebacke, Backobst und Kirschsoße, süß saure Rippchen mit Preißelbeersoße, Bratkartoffeln, Butte...
A huge room, we were three and alone. We had rippchen süss/sauer. My first piece of dry and tough meat had a long blond hair in it. We made us noticeable and the boss came to the table. We said we needed a new plate because in the flesh was a long blond hair. Their answer was that there was no one with long blond hair in the kitchen. But she had shoulder long blond hair. It was a diamond wedding there today. The food was excellent. Very tasty and plentiful. Various supplements for super tasty beef fillet. The cakes and cakes were also fantastic. The restaurant was well visited and also the corresponding pension seems to be reasonably paid. The staff was friendly and attentive. Gasthof and Pension are a little rural and remote, yet or just that's why I can recommend it in no way.
We were there for Sunday brunch. The selection was good, the food delicious. Coffee and juice. The Corona rules have not been disturbed and have been observed without murmurs. A very good guest house. Large and varied selection of drinks and dishes, whether directly from the map or at the Brunch Terminal. Very nice and competent service. It is worth going to Gasthof Essen again and again.
Am sooo enthusiastic.... It was delicious. A lot of choice and you came unhindered everywhere. Even so many people stood by the buffet. Where I want to go again, the ambience is great....
