I recently realized that restaurant reviews are forever and, when I reviewed my hometown bar food several years ago, I wasn't impressed. It's better now. A clear effort has been made to upgrade the luncheon menu and it shows. Each day of every week, a different lunch special except for the catch of the day Fridays. And if you don't like the formula main, there's always steak/frites. From duck hearts to lasagna, from lamb shanks to beef cheeks, it's fun to check out the week's menu on the chalkboard on Monday mornings. Alex has done a good job and deserves one more star than I gave the joint the last time.
