Stopped in for a peek and ordered the Bodega breakfast sandwich. I think it was $6.50 and a great deal for something so tasty. The folks behind the counter were really friendly and efficient.... Which is saying a lot for such a new business. I'll definitely be back and I'm willing to bet I'm going to find something on the menu I'll start to crave from time to time. And I thought the decor and vibe was way friendly and inviting too.
Fresh local food executed with care and dedication, and you can taste it! Pastrami crumbles on toast with eggs for breakfast was a revelation, and the icy chai lattes come in old glass sun sauces, so you can see the milk with the tea whirl around, it is a sight to see. Friendly service, beautifully designed space, enormous and constantly changing menu with many options for nutritional restrictions, could not recommend it anymore.
Everything from homemade pickles to Pimento cheese plate to pastrami butter(!) is really perfect. No matter what Shan Tofu is. I am a confirmed carnivore, and I order one side of her delicious chickpeas tofu every single trip. This place is something magic.
Very recommended Belly of the Beast on Main Street in Northampton, best brunch I've had for a long time! Thanks for sitting the animal in my stomach!
