Benedetti - Table reservation

Benedetti Restaurant is located in Häckers Grand Hotel in the heart of Bad Ems. According to Count Vincent Benedetti, the French diplomat known as one of the central figures in the foundation of the Franconian-Prussian War of 1870. Furniture and decoration give the restaurant a pleasant character. Like the Grand Hotel, the restaurant has a patina with pre-WW1 charm. Service is sufficient and friendly. The menu is traditionally European. Food is delicious and well presented. We arrived on Saturday and the facility was full of guests who enjoy the rich buffet. We had an excellent table on the large terrace overlooking the river Lahn. It is one or the best places in Bad Ems to enjoy the peaceful splendour of the city. The menu is somewhat limited, especially with a younger child at the table, which does not taste particularly rich, but the food was very beautifully presented and delicious. We ordered a local Riesling from the Lahn Valley, which was right for the warm summer evening. The main disadvantage, at least this evening, was the service. Although the restaurant was half empty, we had to wait a long time for food, used plates on the table until Dessert was served and the bill was presented twice with mistakes. Nette Bedienung, gute Getränke und guten Platz auf der Aussenterrasse.Das Salatbuffet war ok - nix Besonderes.Brot kam spät - aber gut.Die Essen mit Pfifferlingen waren jedoch schwach - die Soße viel zu schwer und hell - viel zu wenig Pfifferlinge. Haben diese nachbestellt - mussten jedoch 4.50 Euro nachzahlen...Das Schweinefilet war zu durch / der Rest ok.Preise hochpreisig - aber im Grunde für das Gesamtbild noch ok...

Het was een regenachtig dagje en wilden binnen blijven en de menu stond ons best aan. Lekker gegeten en zeer vriendelijke bediening.
