We went out to go for a typical Kaffee/Kuchen and to our surprise the kale (Grünkohl) season had just started. As we did not want a big lunch we asked for half portions which the owner refused to serve us. OK, we asked whole portions to share. Refused again. In my opinion, you cannot treat guests with such disrespect. I know the clientele is mainly the golden generation who will just accept and waste half their mal and not dare talk back. Would have been good if the owner had something to day. Thé restaurant Anno dis serve us the half portions and welcomes all unsatisfied Café Hesse guests with Handkuss
