I honestly cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a Sunday roast as much as I enjoyed the Sunday roast at Cardigan Arms in Kirkstall. This was exceptional. As I walked in there were 3 people in front of me they had a table booked, luckily, it wasn't overly busy and one of the very friendly staff asked the chef if he would allow a walk in, (me) to which very thankfully he said yes. I ordered the Lamb Sunday roast, was served very quickly by another friendly and helpful member of staff, food came quickly (about 10 minutes wait) and I couldn't believe how much flavour there was. Looking at it, it didn't look like the sort of thing you'd get at say a Toby Carvery, and that was a very good thing...

a rare example for a pub that has managed to retain its character while at the same time greeting on the student market, which must take it, the cardigan arms is both a pub and a live music location, with old young and young indie children who are happy to mix in his CAMRA listed historical interieur. I never visited a few days ago, and was surprised that although I had a fan of culture pubs like the adelphi and whitelocks, this had somehow slipped through me. the well-preserved Victorian interieur is similar to the adelphi’s, with small rooms, glass panels and wooden umbrellas that create an intimate, warren-like feeling, and there are even the ruins of the old on-site brewery for correct d...

the cardigan arms is a real firm for the eys when they first enter, especially when a large traditional Victorian interieur that they did not expect, and a mandant that cannot be wiped or defined by a certain age group floats their boot. halfway to kirkstall road, the cardigan arms has created a call for itself as a live music spot that shows all kinds of musical great, although mostly in the way of upcoming rock bands and volksensembles. the rest of the pubs is a mixture of smaller and larger rooms that allows groups to sit alone, encapsulated by the grandiose setting of their own room, or to mix themselves from the bar, with older pub guests who do not seem to enjoy a younger crowd the ven...

Love this pub, plenty of parking round the back. We usually go to Kirkstall Bridge but thought we'd give cardigan Arms a go for Sunday dinner, it was lovely. Service was great, the pub itself is lovely it has a really old feel and tons of original features. We'll definitely go again.
