Came to Christina's with high expectations based on the reviews I read and what I heard from folks. While they did not live up to the hype, I will still say it was a good ice cream experience. SETTING: The place is not as nice as Toscanini's or JP Lick's. Whereas those are modern-looking, this one has definitely seen better years. That's not to say that it's a bad thing, I definitely respect a place that has stood the test of time and looks like it (as Christina's does). Be forewarned that the place smells strongly of spices (I sense a strong hit of turmeric) which is quite different from a typical ice cream shop that smells like, well, ice cream. I didn't love sitting inside because of that...
