"Unfortunately this place changed badly since David disappeared. No service any more everything is like MacDo, you order at the desk and after you got your selection on a plate wrapped in paper or box and a plastic glass....this is bad for a start. The menu changed, sandwiches hot or not served in a paper bag, pizza in a box etc...looks like ingredients are industrial, cheese with no taste, duck wrap with mayonnaise..beurk Never Again"

Since the tragic death of owner David in August, cookies in Barboleusaz seems to be holding its quality high thanks to great chefs like Lars. But sadly the same is not true for the deli in Villars. Our burger was limp and had clear liquid running out of it; the veggie burger was straight from a packet and slapped warmed up in a stale bun. The panini was basically 90% plasticky cheese - inedible. Ouch the quality has dropped. Sad to see. I hope someone can breathe the same kind of passion and passion for quality that the late (and great) David used to.

My dad and I both had the pad thai and it was delicious (albeit very spicy but I don't think that's a bad thing!.) I am dairy free and they told me they would be perfectly fine catering with this and that they often catered for gluten free and vegan customers too. I had my pad thai with just tofu whereas my dad had his with shrimp. We both loved our meals. My dad also had an iced coffee and cucumber smoothie which he really enjoyed. I finished off with a soy chai latte which was very tasty.

Following a recommendation, it was our first time eating at the Cookie Deli and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We were able to ski and then eat when we were actually hungry because they serve all afternoon which is rare if not non-existant. The fact that it was late afternoon and that we could still eat is already fantastic, but the service and food was exceptional! I would choose to ski again in Villars just to re-live the experience.

It was so sad to revisit Cookie - where we had been several times over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, the owner died - and the place has gone downhill. The quality of food and service has dramatically declined and they serve you with paper plates, plastic cups etc. like you were having your meal from a sidewalk stall. The place started by David was so innovative for Villars - and really sorry to see this happen. We will not go back again.
