Creake Abbey Ruins

I'm mostly giving a 1* because the cafe is closed,I went because we enjoyed our lunch there before but I hear they are doing more pop up style these days??!! and there aren't many shops there or open on a Tuesday, very disappointing

There is a really good farmers market here on the first Saturday of every month so whilst we saw the ruins we came for the market. Produce isn't cheap but it's all really good quality and there is a massive diversity of stalls.

If it wasn't for the reformation, Norfolk would have some wonderful grand mediaeval churches. It is so sad to see this abbey, and former hospital in ruins, but a testament to its builders that parts are still standing.

Don't go on a Monday or Tuesday. We did. Everything was closed. The priory ruins are free and a magnet for visitors. Let your imagination go wild. There's enough left there to allow you to do that.

Great place to visit while camping up the road. Open 24 hours a day
