Dean's Plaice - Table reservation

I struggled with the score on this one. My wife said excellent I was veering to average. As it's my Trip Advisor account I win. We both had large cod and chips. My wife also had battered sausage and I had saveloy. We shared Mushy peas and I had pickled egg and gherkin. Price was £52.00. Was it the best fish and chips I have ever had, No, was it the the cheapest no but then again it wasn't the most expensive. The service was good and the food was freshly cooked. I found the fish a little bland in taste but my wife says delicious so I guess different tastes. the setting was lovely, the service was good and the restaurant was spotless. Would I go back, yes I would.

Whenever we go to Herne bay we head straight for Dean's plaice for our lunch. Helpful staff and well cooked food at reasonable prices. Best fish and chips for miles around. NB.

Yummy fish and chips, best in the area although there is always a wait probably because it is so popular... atmosphere is alright if you decide to dine in

Lovely fresh cooked fish chips , lovely friendly staff too .
