When I was traveling through Lisbon, I bought a bag of freshly baked Portuguese tarts (yes, they sell them wax paper bags). They were the best dessert I've ever had. Sort of like custard meets crème brûlée. In the years since, I've tried to find equivalent pastries in cities across the US and Canada. The Portuguese tarts at Dnniger's are the closest I've ever found. Amazing.
The food at this restaurant is delicious! The buffet is fantastic. I ordered the chicken schnitzel cordon blue with the most incredible mashed potatoes I've ever had.
