Who ever was in Detmold? Hardly one, I don't, there are a whole bunch of nice reasons. For example, the largest Landestheater of NRW, a gigantic castle with park, a very nice old town and the Teutoburger forest right in front of the door. And there is the Detmolder Hof. In the middle of the old town, pedestrian zone in front of the Hautür, little one-way street on one side. Old Founder Villa. For one night we had enrolled, very nice people already on the phone, very friendly reception, a nice table as ordered in the bistro, where you can see the boss and chef, Mr. Pfeiffer. can watch. The food was excellent. We had appetizers and main courses very well. The service was unfortunately very bad. It took 20 minutes until we were able to order drinks, another 15 until our three beers came (which, as we could observe, were tapped quite amateurically). Large kitchen and young dedicated team. We like to come here and have slept wonderfully. Breakfast is very good with delicious coffee and freshly prepared egg dishes.
