The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, and there was country music playing, but it was also completely empty. The service was okay, but beyond ordering, they never came by to ask if things were going well or if I needed anything. The food, unfortunately, was a real disappointment. As I had ordered the 3 meat combo, I expected that I would have plenty to eat, but that was not the case. I was given a single, dry rib and a rather meager portion of brisket. I would not have been shocked if half my order fell off the tray before it got to me. My wife and I stopped by yesterday on our way home to Modesto from Las Vegas, and we decided to try Dickey's BBQ in Apple Valley. The food was delicious, and the customer service was generally good. However, we were disappointed by the behavior of the shift supervisor, a man named Dennis, who is Asian American. He was treating a new employee, an African American woman who was still learning, quite harshly and embarrassing her in front of customers. My wife even told him that it was okay—she was new and still learning. No one should have to be treated that way, as we've all been new at jobs before. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. They gave me the wrong order and then treated me as if it was my fault. To make matters worse, they ended up serving the same order to another customer after I had touched the food to see what I had ordered. The whole issue started when my cookies were missing. Instead of admitting they had given me the wrong order, they acted as if I were trying to steal from them. I asked for the manager's name and they refused to provide it, as well as their own name. Additionally, my online order was not ready when I arrived for the scheduled pick-up time, resulting in a 45-minute wait. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
I had an offer for a free sandwich with the purchase of a yellow cup drink and it was my first time eating here. I ordered a coke and they gave me a flat watered down Diet Coke and ordered the original barbecue pulled pork sandwich and got a cold plain pulled pork sandwich. We waited for an additional 15 minutes past the time it said it’d be ready for pick up just for both items to be wrong. We were going to order dinner for our family here if the food was good but since it was very lackluster we just left and got dinner elsewhere. The place was empty too so I’m not sure why they got the order wrong when I was the only customer. I can see why it’s always dead. Book a table now
Walked in, restaurant was empty. Ordered our food and sat there waiting for 25 minutes before asking how much longer it would be for our food. Not only was it never made but the employees had forgotten that we were still waiting for our order. One of the employees walked past us twice while we waited and saw us sitting there waiting for our food. Nobody had been in since we ordered so it wasn't as if they were busy and it was a mistake. They were to busy complaining to each other about their pay and managers to care about the customers sitting in the dining area waiting for our food. Pathetic.
The staff are always friendly, they seem to always have a nice heaping helping of jalapeno cheddar sausage available when I come on my break from Target, thank you guys for all that you do. In case you guys are wondering this is a new set of owners and they are nothing like the old owners. The food is constantly fresh the service is second to none and the place is impeccably clean at all times
We wanted to try this place so bad. We verified the close time to be 9 pm online. We arrived shortly before 8. They said they are open until 9 pm BUT only for to-go. The lobby closes at 8 pm. We had a large party and wanted to eat and hang out but we couldn 't!What 's up with that?!We walked out and spent our money at Oggies.
The new management and owner are making significant improvements. The food is delicious, and there's genuine service at the counter, rather than just the usual attitude and haphazard approach. The place is clean, and the music is back on as well. Book a table now
Don’t place a DoorDash at night, cause they like to steal your money and not give you food. Say the food is ready for pick up then say surprise we’ll refund you in 3-5 business days ????
