Fat Cow Bbq - Table reservation

Stopped here for lunch while working in the area. I live in Fort Worth, which has a very competitive bbq scene. This place wouldn’t make it out there. The Positives were the man at the counter, which I presumed to be the owner had great customer service. He was laughing, joking and shaking hands with customers. The establishment was extremely clean. Climate was comfortable. Other than those two things which are commendable, it wouldn’t be enough to bring me back and spend money to eat here. I had the three meat plate , which included 2 sides and a roll. Although the portions were fair and price was industry standard for a good bbq joint, the food quality and taste was poor. Fat Cow BBQ is an absolute gem! As soon as we walked in, we were greet by Allen (the owner) who made us feel like we were lifelong friends. His passion and love for BBQ was shown through his enthusiasm and great recommendations. We told him we weren’t from the area, and without any further questions he was ready to recommend some of Fat Cow’s best dishes. I had the brisket tacos which were fingerlicking good, LITERALLY! I was extremely disappointed. I traveled an hour to visit this restaurant based on the reviews. When I arrived at 5:30, I was surprised to see a note on the door indicating that they had closed at 5:15.

The food was fantastic. The management was friendly and great. We're from out of town and wish we had a restaurant like this back home.
