There were eleven of us in a group. We were seated quickly. Our orders were also taken quickly, and the drinks were served very quickly. Once you 've reached the top of the Lilienstein, you 'll probably want something cool to drink. The Felsbaude Lilienstein provides the answer. At the entrance, there 's a large sign saying You will be seated, which I find a shame, because I like to decide where and with whom I sit at a table... Unfortunately, the outdoor seating doesn 't offer a great view, but there are a few lounge chairs around the corner (which is also part of the Felsbaude) with a nice view. They cost extra, I think 1 euro per chair, but it 's worth it. The price and service were fine.
The coffee was okay. The cake was okay. Nothing was lacking, but nothing to rave about. The problem lies elsewhere. Firstly, the absurd prices. A beautiful exploitation of the local monopoly and the lack of competition. But what 's even worse is the difficulty customers face when making payments. It 's the 21st century, 2025, and here we are, pointless arguments with the staff, whether it 's a credit or debit card, VISA or MasterCard. The owner should wake up. Revolut isn 't an exotic payment method, it 's a legitimately registered bank.

After a relaxing climb up the Lilienstein, we settled down for a refreshing break at the Felsbaude. Coffee, delicious poppy seed cake, and Kiba (a traditional German snack) were brought by the very friendly service team. Thank you for the friendly chat and the 5 cents for the coining machine. The climb was absolutely worth it! We received a very warm welcome from Jana and immediately felt at home. Everyone is super sweet, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is truly delicious. Overall, a beautiful place with a fantastic view – highly recommended!
There's another area with loungers that offers a lovely view and even a small pool to cool off in. We really enjoyed it! We'd love to come back.
