Wanted the prime rib so went early. 4:30 reservation did not get to table 4:45. Ordered prime rib and the Firebird Cabernet Sauvignon. Waitress came back 10 mins later and said they were out of prime rib. Not that it was not ready, but none left. Still no drinks all the managers were standing on the rail and the bar was struggling. Salads come no bread and at the end of the salads the waitress comes back and apologizes not only do we still not have our drinks they do not have the Firebirds Cab. Ordered a different Cab and was another 20 mins before I got that glass at about the same time as the meal showed up. Table next to use ordered a draft Bud Light and had to complain as he was waiting...
When we got there we asked for a table of 7. The young man went to get the manager and they said they couldn't accommodate us all on one table and couldn't guarantee we would sit close to each other. I declined and went outside and open the app Open Table and was able to reserve a table that would sit us in 10 minutes. I went in again after the 10 minutes and asked the young man if they got my reservation, once again he said he had to go get the manager. He went to the back and another young man tended the counter and I showed him my reservation and he said sure let me sit y'all without any problem. My Rib eye was rare on one side and medium well on the other. Server offered another steak and I declined but no other remedy offered. She didn't let anyone know or ask if there was anything else she could do. I picked through it and ate what I could but because we are just visiting taking a rib eye to a hotel room for leftovers wasn't an option and a comp of some sort would have been nice. But sadly no... Essentially for the price of the steak it was just disappointing. The restaurant was extremely busy and seemed understaffed. Bread was underwhelming and needed salt. Garlic thyme butter on my steak was extremely salty.
We had a large party and had talked with the restaurant ahead of time to make sure they were aware. They were extremely accommodating in working with our group, ensuring our time constraints were met, that we had an overall outstanding experience. Rich, Carrie, Tequila truly went above beyond to make our celebration the best! The food was delicious portions are always generous. Can't say enough about the dinner staff.
