By far the best cake place in the world. I'm serious. I was born and raised in Russia and know good cakes. I had all kinds of different cakes around the world from the former Soviet republics to Ireland to Africa and I must say that this is by far the best I ever had. You have a rotating menu so I am always pleasantly surprised when I go in to find new and delicious cakes to try. I live near Boston, so it takes me one and a half hours to come here and I don't often come if I can usually buy 10 pieces. Must try if you are somewhere in the area!!! I've been coming a few years. As a local I would say if you were in town looking for a sweet bite, the Pie Bar is a good choice! I wouldn't consider it a tourist attraction, but I wouldn't be worth keeping anything in town for tourism. All that said, usually I would say the Pie Bar is expensive, but their cakes range from pretty good to amazing. You're never bad! Although, I probably wouldn't be anything but cake to be honest.
Florence Pie Bar is the easiest decision if you want pie for any occasion! We get them for every holiday and family party so it was an obvious choice when picking our wedding dessert. They offered out of season fruit pies, delivery to our venue and the ordering process was so easy. We highly endorse the lemon chess pie; but every flavor we have tried (and we have tried A LOT) is delicious!
recently visited for the first time after hearing about this joint for years. Enjoy an excellent Guinness stew hand cake. Obviously the owners are professionals! The crust was tender and wonderful. The filling was very tasteful and made me wish a second cake. Encourages to try more of their selections soon. The staff is very friendly and pleasant.
