my best friend from college lives on the east coast, near nyc. I come a few times a year after new jersey and ny. of course, every time I go, I'm looking for another pizza restaurant to try it. ny ruined me for pizza in idaho until I found grimmaldis. the pizza came out perfectly. a little black on the crust (from the flour,) the brushed. the cheese was great, the sauce was perfect. while I ate, I noticed that they come up with several door-thatchers. I said to my date that some of those who do this only carry the pizza in the box without a warming bag. I could bet these pizzas weren't hot when they arrive in the home of the customer. that seems more like a door Dash problem. I took a couple...
I will begin to say that I have eaten many paints here also at different levels. this place was so much better. post the core values have changed completely. it took almost 2 hours before the pizza arrived. the waitress said it would take an hour. 2 hours and the waitress just checked us once. we sat in front of pizzeria. Literally, all 15 20 were commanded for delivery. they have priority instead of sitting in. they don't give children any more teig balls. they could also close their doors and just pull out. if they want to order grimaldis only takeout, they get it much faster. either there is a management problem or they don't care.
Still waiting to be seated. Restaurant was pretty empty for a Monday night yet asked to put name down for wait list for outdoor seating. Tables were available. After we were seated and finished at a different restaurant, I informed management of the situation and was told there was no wait list for tonight. I let her know how I would interpret this experience although she denied it. I will not visit this restaurant where I'm not wanted or apparently not welcomed. Their loss. My husband is a very generous tipper.
excellent ambiente, good eating and very good service. we loved their entire decoration, variety of food and drinks options as well. Here?s what we ordered and how we felt: watermelon Italian soda 5/5 (just the correct amount of sweet) pesto pizza 5/5 huh pizza 5/5 gluten-free veggie pizza 5/5 dessert trio 5/5 (hat tiramisu, cannoli, ny cheesecake)
