Hard to say enough good things. The food is fantastic. Seafood platter thing of beauty. Fried green tomatoes excellent. Cannot leave without sampling the remarkable cheeses. Service perfect in execution and unobtrusiveness. Try the Gruener.
Read a lot about this place and after eating there in person I have to say I left very impressed. Getting a front seat at the counter is quite the experience and the food was really stellar.
Hen of the Wood is one of my favorite restaurants downtown! Such a good vibe, professional staff food!
