The first dish to arrive was the agedashi tofu, and it was clear that the quality has declined. The tofu was not crispy at all, and the sauce had an overpowering ginger flavor. The skewers took about 20 minutes to arrive and were barely warm. Isn’t the point of skewers to be grilled and served immediately? I decided to cancel the rest of my order and left. Unfortunately, I also felt unwell after getting home. I would suggest avoiding this restaurant entirely. I do not recommend it!
Overall, the food quality was quite good. However, the eel rice didn't really stand out to me, and I wouldn't go out of my way just for that dish. The sashimi was fresh and had thick cuts, while the fish cake was a bit on the bland side. On the other hand, the chicken salad was surprisingly generous in size and tasted fantastic, especially for just $12. To top it all off, the vanilla ice cream drizzled with brown syrup was excellent, providing a delightful ending to the meal.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and clearly made with meticulous care. Although the portion sizes are somewhat small for the price, they are well worth the indulgence. This place is quite popular, so it's advisable to make a reservation. The octopus fried rice is exceptional and our top pick. The karaage fried chicken was also superb. We sampled the five-skewer yakitori combo, and the chicken balls were the standout favorites among the five options.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is ideal for catching up and reconnecting with friends. It can get quite crowded, so making a reservation is recommended. The service is excellent, and while the food may appear simple, it is prepared with remarkable expertise. The sauces really enhance the flavors, making every dish a treat. The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. I suggest making a reservation ahead of time. Among the yakitori, we especially enjoyed the chicken meatballs and pork. The rice dish had flavors similar to okonomiyaki, which I absolutely adored. The karaage was both tender and crispy—simply delightful. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
The service was outstanding, but the prices don't reflect the lack of atmosphere and the subpar food quality. The portions were very small, even by izakaya standards, and nearly all of the yakitori dishes were quite dry. We ended up spending around $98 for two people, excluding alcohol, and received very little food.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on a Thursday evening, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly. The food came out fresh and piping hot! Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic.
