While touring through Normandy, we visited Lisieux to see the religious sites and found this very solid Turkish restaurant on the square outside the Cathedral of Saint Paul. The place is a little quick bite or take away type of place reminiscent of Berlin’s many imbiss. The gyro was on an excellent pita, piled high with meat and the expected accompaniments. The gyro, fries and a soft drink were a reasonable €6.50. Fries were decent. They were out of the chicken by 2pm when we arrived, but the kofte plate was a good second choice a large skewer of well seasoned and cooked meat just like I remember from Turkey.
