This bar and grill is on the top level of Bondi Junction shopping centre and near the cinema so it is perfect for grabbing dinner before a movie. It is a large restaurant so not too many dramas with it being booked out. I went with my family for dinner and service was prompt and friendly. We got some amazingly soft and sweet bread to start and a few drinks. All of the table ordered a steak of different cuts. With the exception of one, most steaks were a tad over (ie the medium rare was medium, the medium was well etc.) The ones that were cooked effectively were the rare ones. Disgusted. I told them I was vegan so I was served the vegetarian platter ... no halomi and no creamed spinach ... was given boiled rice instead. There was no flavour and no sauces. They charged $29.95 for boiled rice, baked potato, steamed veg, corn and bland mushrooms. I told them I was disappointed and they should be ashamed to charge $30. They said that I had given them food for thought. No apology. No attempt to make it right. No attempt to retain me as a client. Shame on them.
If you want great steak, then this is the place to go. Make sure you book ahead or you will be turned away. I've always enjoyed my meals here and it's always been consistently good. I haven't tried anything else on the menu so I can't comment on the quality of other menu items but the steak is definitely beautifully cooked.
