overall very impressed by the customer service. I called the day before to check if ghee is used and was sure that only vegetable oil is used to cook all meals and that there are many possibilities to choose from the vegetarian menu. in the night the owner personally visited our table to make sure that he was on the same side with what we could eat as a vegan. he offered to cook something from menu if desired, but we chose the pakoras and samosa for entree, pumpkin masala, aloo paratha and sweet pulao. all were a good standard. at the end of the night, he checked again whether we were satisfied with the meal and assured us that he had cooked our meal separately to avoid cross-contamination;...
It's definitely worth a visit to this restaurant. The owner seemed to be well-informed and respectful when it comes to Veganism. They even mentioned that they use separate utensils and make everything from scratch. Although the Vegan items are not labeled on the menu, hopefully they will consider adding them in the future if enough customers ask. With the right support, Machan has the potential to be a great spot.
