It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to Mel’s, but it was on our way to a destination and so we figured we’d stop there for breakfast. Now I know why I haven’t been there in so long. It will be a long time if ever I return. I must say that our waitress was delightful, accommodating, and although a little bit disheveled really quite lovely. If only the food were the same. I partially blame myself because I should’ve stuck with something simple like scrambled eggs or they’re out of house muffins. Instead I got the crabcake Benedict. As always I got the sauce on the side and when the hollandaise came, I could tell from looking at it that it was straight out of a powdered package. I wish t...
A great local diner with cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I had an Italian omelet (sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheddar with a side of blueberry pancakes instead of the home fries and toast (and awesome option! . The hot chocolate was delicious as well. (visited 1/15/22
Place is great! Plenty of food choices, very friendly staff, reasonable prices. I also love the decor. I’ve come back several times and never had a bad meal. Their muffins are absolutely incredible! Enjoy!
