This restaurant stands out as being very good - especially when compared to neighboring restaurants in this location. It beats other restaurants in terms of friendliness and efficiency of service. It is relaxed but still more efficient than others. The steaks are really to a good standard and cooked according to taste. The special seasonal mushroom menu was great. Lovely ambiance in the garden area. Always busy - you may want to book in high season.
The Restaurant offers mainly Bavarian dishes in a very traditional way. Everything is well cooked and offers a good value meal. But it is not anything outstanding and the presentation could be a bit more modern. But all in all - if you want simple Bavarian dishes well cooked - a place to visit.
We ate outside here on a warm summer evening -food was really delicious, service friendly and welcoming and a very relaxed atmosphere. There are several restaurants along the lake front in Rottach-Egern and this one is definitely worth trying.
A good authentic Bavarian restaurant, serving excellent food, with good friendly service, happy to help with the menu for non German speakers, and good view of the lake from certain tables all in all a pleasant place to eat
