What a wonderful experience, giving credit to a fabulous bunch of dedicated workers. My hubby and I stopped in after a long drive to the city. We seen Mongo's and thought to give it a try. We were very pleased. We did not know what type of restaurant. Not sure why but it was picked up right away that we were newbies and didn't know what we were in for. Our server was so good in taking us around and explaining how the restaurant would work for us. Not long after leaving us with a bowl in our hand and glazed look on our face a second person assisted us individually and made sure we had a fabulous first experience. What a great concept. This is a build your plate with as much or as little as you please. The execution is fluid and fast and lines move quite quickly. This would be the ideal restaurant to bring picky eaters to....if they don't like it, it's their own fault. The food stations at times were a little messy, due to mile high piled bowls but were cleaned up fairly regularly. Some websites claim this is a $$-$$$ but I would argue this is one step up from fast food so $$ is accurate.
Had the opportunity to visit this new location and really enjoyed it. You can tell the regulars, as they know how to strategically pile up the bowls. You serve yourself of meat and protein, literally dozens of vegetables and topping along with seasonings, spices And sauces. There is something customizable for everyone.Then you have the grill man cook it up in front of you. I added fried rice and an egg and was treated to a great lunch for two under $30.
Good for Stir Fry lovers - foods always fresh and it all you can it as well - only thing it you get little bowls so when you have people in front of you that take huge amounts its dripping all over the place lol make the place look messy -that always been my experiance there ...foods great i love it - staff is very polite as well
