As much as the sandwich was tasty, because it was toasted and not grilled, the toast was dry. The fries are frozen, and not even good frozen. They are the worst fries we had, extremely dry, tasteless, and like sawdust. It's hard to find a 'good' Reuben' sandwich, and good fries are also an important part of a meal, but they should be good as well. The staff are friendly and efficient however and the atmosphere is OK for a deli. But we won't be back because we found a restaurant with much much better french fries and a really good Reuben.
My Son invited me to try the smoked meat at this long established restaurant. The decor, menu and service are still with an old style nostalgia. We have ordered my favorite Reuben sandwich with fries. The sandwich had a good stack of delicious smoked meat on rye bread, but I did not taste or notice the Swiss cheese and sauerkraut that makes a great Reuben sandwich. Will be back to try an alternative choice from the menu.
Great smoke meat!!! So much closer than driving to Montreal. Used to live Near Montreal and sooo missed the smoke meat until I found this place. Will keep coming back.
Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable, food was excellent, good size portions, ambience is fine for a deli/diner. Nothing fancy.
