I've been coming to this place for years, and unfortunately I have to bring my rating down to about 3 stars overall solely because of prices. I always do take out and the order gets done right on time whenever I arrive to get it. I haven't had a single time where the quality of the food was unsatisfactory or where my order was messed up. But the prices of the food have really gone up, which to little fault of their own, that's inflation doing its work; but regardless, I still have to take that into account and the orders can be really expensive.
This was my first experience at Mr. K's. I had the thai beef fried rice, and it was outstanding! The menu explains that they don't use msg and all of their food is cooked in olive oil. I believe it! The best in Germantown for the past 5 years! Need I say more?! A little pricey but you get what you pay for, good food! They have Bobo tea and smoothies too! I been coming here for the past 3 years and the food and service is always great! Update 2023 Best General Tao’s chicken! I order at least 2-3 times a week. I always get the General Tao’s chicken and the pad Thai. Never a disappointment! The portion is always extra large. My kids love to dine here too!
Staff is always prompt, polite, and helpful. Well, I've ordered a total of 3 times from this spot. I've gotten the Pad Thai Chicken (little bland), General Tso's chicken (sadly, no chilis), the Basil Rice w/ Veggies (very tasty). All of em are pretty good, but my go-to is the General Tso's chicken (ask for extra spicy version), which isn't spicy at all. It's pretty darn tasty and worth a try P.S. They have Boba Tea Book a table now
Food was solid, could have been better. A little overpriced for the quality of food and atmosphere, in my option. But overall a solid place for a bite to eat
The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the combination fried rice, which is the best I've ever tasted. The orange chicken was fantastic as well.
