This restaurant in Park Ridge offers Turkish cuisine in a friendly, local atmosphere. My daughter, a vegetarian has introduced me to this restaurant during one of her stopovers from Northern California last year and I have returned several times as I love this food. If you like Greek or Middle Eastern food, this local little restaurant will not disappoint. If it is your first visit and you love meat try the Uskuda, lamb cubes sauteed wit onions, tomatoes, red and green paprika and garlic, with cut eggplants and tomato sauce with your choice of white rice or wort. I'm Turkish, so I tried many Turkish/Mediterranean places around Chicago. I would say Cafe Orchid is one of the best in town, especially if you look at the price and service you receive. Very friendly staff and very consistent food.
Great experience overall from the food to the service. There were four of us, so we were able to try quite a few menu items. Everything was outstanding. Will definitely be back!
