Pelican, which was recommended to us by locals, is an unprepossessing place in an unprepossessing suburban mall. The meal we had was fabulous, however: calamari, a green salad and mussels in a white wine and cream sauce. Perfect with a glass of sauvignon blanc. The prices are very reasonable; the service was very good. We'll try to come here again the next time we visit Ottawa.
Great spot to get your seafood fix! The young man who helped us was very friendly and my Mom even commented on how good looking he was.(shout out to my female viewers ;)I tried a cod cake and a crab cake. Both with the horseradish dip and they were both very good. I preferred the cod cake myself. Next time I’ll grab a seat for a dozen oysters
casual raised fish market atmosphere with delicious fresh choices. decent beer and wine options also. friendly reception service. will be back.
the oysters were delicious, as well as our most important scallops with pork belly. we will definitely come back on our next ottawa trip!
