This would have been a wonderful place to live. However, I had a bad experience and advise people who plan on living at pickwick to re-evaluate the terms of the lease. My experience: I communicated through text and was under the impression that I had to give $1000. for security deposit along with signing the lease, so I did 2 months in advance. Hence, 5 weeks prior to moving in to the apartment, I informed the manager that I would not be able to move in and would like to get my $1000. Returned. I was informed by the mgt. that I could not get my security deposit back because I signed a lease, please note: I never received keys or move in and gave 5weeks notice. I give 5 stars to Pickwick for having curb appeal at their community.I give them 1 star for requiring such highly sensitive personal documents before qualifying you to be a resident; such as requesting drivers license and social security cards as part of the preliminary application which can set you up for identity theft. When I asked Mattie if the documents could be destroyed, she informed me that they hold the information for 7 years? Mattie was professional and kind during our conversation. It just causes concern that such personal information is handled in that manner.
Pickwick is a quiet community. The staff as well as the maintenance staff are outstanding. If you have an issue you submit a request/work order and they are on it immediately. The complex is quiet and clean and the grounds are kept immaculate From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
The complex appears very clean and quiet. Sandy is very nice and helpful. Have not seen the actual apartment yet. They have an answering service, which is a nice touch, I have never experienced that before.
