My husband and I decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim. It's a quaint little local spot. The place wasn't busy when we walked in, so we placed our order at the counter. Our pizza arrived hot and fresh at our table within 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We noticed many takeout orders being picked up and a few other customers coming in to dine while we were finishing up. The 14-inch pizza we ordered was more than enough for the two of us, and the total bill came out to around $20, including two drinks. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food from a locally-owned eatery.
My wife phoned in an order for an extra large pizza and a selection of boneless BBQ chicken bites. We picked up the order and took it home. Everything was correct, but the pizza and chicken bites were awful. The pizza was extremely dry and the sauce on it tasted like spaghetti o's. I've had better frozen pizzas in the past. The chicken bites were also disappointing, tasting like frozen tenders from a store-bought bag. It's likely that's where they came from. We will not be ordering from here again. It was a waste of time, gas, and $30.
Their muffelatta is pretty good, give it a try! It's more bread than anything else, but still tasty. Maybe they could use fewer ingredients to improve it. It could also use more olive salad. Overall, I might go back to Baton Rouge for a better muffelatta, but I want to support this local, family-owned business.
I revisited this restaurant and it was excellent once again! They served me top-notch food and provided the best service. The standout was an elderly woman who served as a waitress, showing great care and attention to all the customers.
