Recently visited Grand Manan and have to say this pizza was some of the best I ever had. We had two but my favorite was the grand mananer. The owner and his wife/family were just wonderful people, and his wife spent about 30 minutes with us letting us know all of the places to visit on the island.Terrific spot right on the harbor where you can order a pizza and watch the fishing boats come in after a long day. They have done a tremendous job renovating the old post office into a shop/pizza/ice cream place and gives you the immediate feeling of warmth and family as you walk in.Owner took the time to ask what can he do to improve... simply put nothing... excellent place to grab a pie and a con...
What great pizza! The sauce is incredible. Such a nice sweet flavour! And it is a thinner crust, but not hard. Loved that too! The ice cream scoops are VERY generous! The building is great! Walter, the fellow that runs the place was trained in Boston by legit pizza gurus! A nice surprise and a great spot on Grand Manan!PS...a recent review said that they don't take credit cards. That is inaccurate. That's how we paid both visits. Also, they have an ATM in the cool store section for further convenience!
Honestly, I believe this is the best pizza I have ever tasted! It has a flavorful sauce, a thin and perfectly crisp crust that is easy to fold, and fresh vegetables. The owner is very friendly and provides helpful tips for exploring the island. The food is excellent and the customer service is top-notch! I wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you happen to be on Grand Manan, you must have lunch here! They also offer delicious ice cream and a gift shop filled with locally made treasures.
First I have to say that PostOffice Pizza was one of our favorite stops while on Grand Manan.We hadn't heard of 'Donair' sauce but enjoyed the education from Mom vs daughter. Trying to remember if it was evaporated milk or condensed?. Anyway, a delicious pizza we enjoyed out past the North Head 'Whistle' light for sunset, just my wife and I.I would totally recommend PostOffice and would love to go back and try their other pizza's. The B&B recommended this if we wanted something quick and easy but still yummy. We got a couple of pizzas and stayed in as we needed to get up early the next morning and they were quick and taste and made to the ingredients we wanted. Also a cute little shop where I bought a few knickknacks and some dulse.
Love the building. Very nice seeing it used and not torn like many older buildings. Great gift shop inside too. Definitely a must stop! Everyone in our group LOVED their pizza!! Had hamburger pizza, cheese pizza, donair pizza and garlic fingers. Generous ice cream portions for dessert too.
I ordered a cheese pizza for dinner, and it was fast and delicious. I returned the next day and ordered another pizza for lunch and had a friendly chat with the owner, and he recommended things to do in Grand Manan.
This is my favorite place to get pizza. I love it so much that I even bring it back from the island for my family and friends. It is far superior to any chain pizza. The crust is especially amazing! Book a table now
it was ok but not great. no credit cards accepted and owner was not helpful in this repect. He was not interested in our business. did not help us get cash or run the credit card
