Restaurant le Brantalou

This was our first visit to Le Brantalou. We knew to expect a busy holiday environment, even allowing for COVID restrictions, but were not as prepared as we thought for the experience that ensued! Have eaten here many times, lunch and dinner and also large gatherings, locally we call the site that the restaurant is situated on the Belgium village. In the holiday months it can get very busy, the ouside eating area is next to the pool. We...had trouble several years ago when we asked for one vegetarian meal, the kitchen staff pushed the duck of the plate, left the vegtab!es and served the plate, you could see the marks where the meat had been. The menu of the day is excellent and very good value for money, would recommend and make sure u book in the busy months.

We attended the degustation of seafood and were quite disappointed with the food. The prawns were severely over cooked and unpleasant very flowery , one fish course was paired with a creamed rice side which did not go very well with the fish. i...had to ask for towelettes for my hands. Otherwise the service was excellent but we were all disappointed with the food. Previously we had found it superb and thought the degustation would be terrific, considering the higher price sorry no

We ordered salmon and lamb. Both were finely presented, tasty and good value. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was the restaurant was very quiet so there was not much atmosphere.
