"I usually order Pho soup when dining at Vietnamese restaurants, but when I visited Makisu for lunch on Friday, they had a special on the soup. I decided to try it and I was not disappointed. The broth was flavorful and satisfying, with ample noodles to satisfy my hunger. I do wish there had been more vegetables and meat slices, but overall, the taste was excellent."

Restaurant Makisu has a long way to go to become a true Japanese restaurant, but it's a start. A popular place to eat and share with friends, it is a busy place where you can bring your own wine, and many did on this casual Friday lunch. The restaurant is very clean with a simple yet attractive decor. Service is very average as is the food. On this lunch menu, you will have a choice of three Phò soups with noodles, or a variety of dishes with chicken, beef and shrimps. Interestingly no pork in this restaurant. Wonder why? Another menu included a variety of sushi delicacies, but we did not try any. Since it was cold, it was definitely a soup lunch. Their broth lacked humph and the delicate to...

It had been two decades since my last visit to this restaurant. The food remains consistently delicious and beautifully presented. The highlights include a wide variety of sushi options and the flavorful Steak Teriyaki. The spring rolls are generously sized and appear homemade. Desserts are also satisfying. The staff is friendly. However, the restaurant tends to get crowded, especially on weekends, so be prepared to wait 60 to 90 minutes for a meal. Our desserts took a while to arrive. The water has an odd taste. The bathrooms are small and not very clean. Overall, if you are willing to be patient and wait for your food, you will enjoy the excellent cuisine at this restaurant.

Well,if you want to eat your supper at 7:00 pm...maybe you should order it at lunchtime...ok,so this resto Ste Therese is always packed..is it because of the food or is it only because it's a bring your own wine...or is it the low prices...well...it must be the prices and the byow...because the food is really ordinary..no bangs or whistles...and the service is so slooowwww....i have been here several times in the past 20 years and every time and say..it's the last time..but the prices and byow makes me come back..but i think now that the lower laurentians have other choices in asian and sushi restos,it was my last time.Wake me up when my food gets here.

If you plan to have dinner at 7:00 pm, you might want to consider ordering your meal during lunchtime at this restaurant in Ste Therese. It is always busy, possibly due to its bring your own wine policy and affordable prices. The food is mediocre with slow service, leading to disappointment in repeat visits over the past 20 years. Although the prices and BYOW have been a draw, the availability of other options in Asian and sushi restaurants in the lower Laurentians has led to this being the final time dining here.
