one of my favorite Hong Kong-style restaurants here in markham. for some years not here, but today's meal brought back many loving memories. definitely worth the ride of mississauga! on today's menu we had a baked rice with cream sauce and the ever-popular 牛 slowly. And make sure that they always finish the meal with a 菠蘿油! Pineapple beer was warm and crispy but light and fluffy in the middle and sandwiching a beautiful hearty patt salted butter. hong kong style tee was rich and tasteful. perfect restaurant to take care of their hong kong cantonese diner fix!
I have visited this restaurant since I was about 6 years old and counting on number of years, making me old! they are really the authentic HK style caffe that all the casual dishes they can think. I have to admit that their quality is not quite as it was earlier, but I will always regain to fix here for a fast meal or a late night snack (hopefully, when they reopen later.) the staff/servers working here have been there for many years, so that they can rely on familiar faces at any time. I enjoy the place I like to visit to eat.
It has been a while since our last visit, nothing much hv change except for the prices two dishes cost us more than $30. It's hits and misses when it comes to the food, the roasted pork with tofu casserole dish was mostly tofu with pork skin and tasted bland. The yang chow fried rice was not too bad with good amount of ingredients and not oily.
Simply delicious, where else can you get such excellent freshly prepared food at 8am. They serve breakfast, dim sum and lunch menu items. I highly recommend this place; there is something for everyone. Even if you want something simple like general taos.Cannot recommend it enough
