Love the atmosphere and the flow to foot look at this sweet cantina in the gaylord resort. we stopped at breakfast and were immediately greeted and left to sit. on Friday morning at 8 o'clock there was no waiting time and few people were in the room. enrique imagined, brought menus and immediately asked for water and coffee. when he brought the drinks, he asked if we had to ask on the menu and took our orders. the menu is very Tex-Mex, traditional with a modern taste. we ordered the ham and cheese omelet with obst (via the option of kartoffels) and the salmon bag. the coffee was hot and hit the place, but with the low volume of customers I would have expected to be asked more regularly about...
First the food. It is okay Mexican fare. Far below what Grapevine, Texas has to offer. Second the service. To put this in perspective, I'm talking about two people and one of those was a 6 year-old that wanted nothing more exotic than kids chicken tenders. The restaurant was perhaps 20% full. Waiters and waitresses were standing around chatting. Our waitress was friendly and cheerful, whenever she occasionally showed up. No water was offered when she did show up. At that point, I seized on the opportunity since she was actually there and told her we would order immediately because we needed to eat and leave in less than an hour for one of the Gaylord's shows we had tickets for. Great customer service, very lively themed, beautiful decorations. Only gave it 4 stars because the music was just a little too loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. We always had to repeat what we were saying and loudly.
Delicious food, excellent service, great views by the water but the price for two people and two drinks plus mandatory tips was $120. So I'm just gonna head to whataburger tomorrow
