Hidden jewel of a Croatian restaurant. The door looks intimidating (solid and you can not see) but inside and you will find a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is below (top is a bar area). To begin we have the istrain bean and barley soup with sausage. It was really delicious, especially the smokey garlic sausage. Then we have the envy pasta and the gnocci for the net. All pastas are handmade in the house and you can say they have a large chewing texture. We have them with the calf sauce that was ok and had a lot of calf, but not as good as the pasta was. Next time I would try another sauce. Hone style Croatian cuisine best. I had Maneštra soup, which was perfect and then the mixed grill, which was not overcooked and was still a bit kicked. Nice traditional service. I'll be back to try another dish. If you're in the area, go. They won't be disappointed.
Home Croatia! Bog I Hrvati, this is home cooking! If you want food from home, stop. If you are not from Croatia, come in and enjoy a proper dinner like our mothers made for us!
