understood this was the number Indian restaurant in Newcastle and heard so many good reports we were really looking forward to eating at Sachins but what a disappointment, unfortunately when we booked a few weeks earlier we hadn’t realised it was restaurant week and...can only assume this was the reason for the poor service and the overall sense of chaos. During a long weekend in Newcastle, I stumbled upon Sachins as it was only a five-minute walk from my hotel and I couldn't resist a good Indian meal. Despite hearing mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was excellent. Despite being very busy, we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The staff was very knowledgeable and the owner even took the time to chat with us. I would definitely visit again if I ever find myself in Newcastle.

I had always heard that this restaurant was the best Indian in Newcastle, but it was not as impressive as I had expected. The food was mediocre and the service from the staff could have been more friendly.

The restaurant has the most friendly, helpful, and efficient staff I have ever come across. Coupled with delicious food, this is a place I will definitely visit again.

Had the three course meal for two with a few King Cobra. Superb food and service brilliant. Attentive but not pushy overall a wonderful evening
