South End Seafood - Table reservation

This is a cute little seafood stop and the staff was very warm and kind. We stopped by in mid-August and bought shrimp and whole blue crab. The shrimp was steamed up and they came out absolutely delicious. They were fresh and had great texture. Unfortunately, upon getting the crab home, we quickly observed that the cleaning process had removed much of the lump crab meat from above the legs. The remaining crab meat had lost all the texture and was either not fresh or had been allowed to sit in water after the cleaning process. It pained us to throw them all away. We decided to grill out and visited South End Seafood to make our fresh purchases. They have a great assortment of fresh seafood at very reasonable prices. I purchased a pound and a half of Shrimp, a large piece of Red Snapper, and a dozen Oysters. We cooked all on the grill and the food was delicious. Purchasing seafood here is much more cost effective than going out to eat and typically is better than restaurant food. If you love seafood and like cooking, this is a must stop for you. Very close to Shipyard. Highly recommend.

Super friendly staff, reasonably priced, definitely wasn't frozen. I peddled there from Sea Pines and it was well worth it. Make sure you get their cocktail sauce, it's was really good.
