the food was nice, came fast. very bad pudding menu with only 4 options, so not disturbed! I could not mistake the place until the end of the evening after we sat outside, took our glasses back and stood at the bar waiting for it. if they had a tippwurst we could put in. three workers went past me several times, one of them was clearly circumcised, which they had just given. but none of them realized that I was waiting; there was no one standing at the bar. another lady went to the bar while I was waiting and when a member came free, they went straight to them, even I waited. no one realized that I was waiting and said to me, "I won't be a minute," I went back without leaving the tipp.
We had a lovely trip to Portsmouth for our wedding anniversary. We visited the Spice Island Pub/Restaurant as we love its historic references and atmosphere. On our most recent visit we were served my a lady called Eva from Bulgaria, she was the most outstanding,...friendly waitress we've ever had! Her personality, chatter and banter was amazing and her professionalism and enthusiasm towards her work was infectious! She really made our weekend special and one to remember! 5 stars! Came with my sister after a disappointing visit to another pub about an hour before, and Spice Island absolutely blew us away. Ordered a few bits to share and our eyes were clearly bigger than our bellies! The nachos were incredible, plenty of topping to...go round, dirty fries equally as delicious! All the staff were so lovely, such a lovely pub with a stunning view. Will definitely be back!!
We ordered the Chicken plate to share A big mound of four different flavoured wings and strips arrived. They looked amazing and tasted even better . than enough for 2 and the lovely staff even provided a doggy bag The filthy chips are also...deelish !! Very good value , good staff , good veiws
