The restaurant is beautiful, the decor, ambience, vibe and feel is really amazing. The service is excellent as well, the waiters are very friendly and very professional. As for the food, I tried appetizers and snacks, 5 of them though, like the major ones on the menu. The presentation is 5 stars, but and I must say they all taste just ok, nothing that will blow your mind or make you say wow!! When you count the price in for these plates, it is just not worth it for the food. So I ended up not ordering any mains thinking it would be the same.
The menu is small, making it easier to decide what to have. Eating is good and tasteful, environment is cozy and If you want oysters, try the “summer love” . It has a meat broth to taste on it and it is something I had not experienced before. Our waitress Victoria was such a dynamic character with which you are immediately in love. She moves gracefully in a small room and she is charming. Please book for the weekend, because we were sent and happy by Barocco. Totally recommended.
Had such a pleasant brunch experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, in an old building in the historic old town of Montreal. The interior was really special, during my meal I found myself looking for the detail that went into the room. The service was really friendly and warm, our server was really nice and checked for us several times. The food was delicious and very carefully combined, desserts were also very nice. I'd come back to Montreal to eat here again.
Generally good. Enjoyed the ambience and we had good service. The distinction that dishes on the menu are not marked as seasonal if they are not always available, of course, seasonality is good, but the information was missing. Also a shame that there are no local or even Canadian wines on the list.
