We went to the Symposium for the 1st time last month to meet friends over lunch. The menu offered several interesting features and we picked the "Grilled Cheese Pot Roast Sandwich". It may sound quite different and it is - in our opinion, this is a definite "MUST TRY". There were several other items on the menu that we will have to try on our next visit & yes, there will be more than 1 next visits to try other interesting menu items. The staff were very friendly and appeared at just the right times.The restaurant was clean and visually appealing. A Gem waiting to be discouvered.
Dinner was so so. It's just OK. The thing that I didn't notice until I got home that really pissed me off was the $1.45 for my "Extra" Feta cheese on my salad. It was this teeny cup! The waitress never even SAID there was a charge for it when I asked for it!!! No heads up..... $1.45??????? That was the last straw for me ...we won't be back! What a rip off! For that price we could have went somewhere better!
We have tried this place so many times, and I will keep trying it - I want to like it. Great patio, convenient location but I have never been pleased with my experience. I've tried many different menu options and never feel satisfied with the quality for the price. I live having local food and drink options so I will not give up - I will try again!
Stopped for a bite and ordered a salad of which the waitress loved. The food preparation guy knew she didn't like jalapenos and unknown to her had removed them. However her not knowing this brought me food and had not a clue why my tongue was burning. The situation was quickly rectofied and i now have memories of this fine establishment.
