I absolutely love Taco Time! They use lean ground beef, so you get more protein and less fat. My favorites are the beef and cheese burrito and the ranch chicken burrito. If you order fries, definitely go for the Mexi Fries Deluxe, which come topped with sour cream, lean ground beef, cheese sauce, tomatoes, onions, and green onions. I recommend asking for the diablo (green sauce) as it’s quite spicy; I like to mix a little bit of it with the red sauce.
The food at this restaurant is consistently cold, and everything seems to have a similar taste. They don't have the two taco combo that you can find at other places, which was a big letdown. The soda is often too watered down or overly sweet. The only bright side is the friendly staff.
I ordered a $10 taco salad, and it was one of the worst meals I've ever had. It was mostly just watery lettuce with hardly any toppings. I couldn't even finish it, and I was really hungry. It was quite unpleasant.
