Taxi's Grille - Table reservation

Try the cabbage soup! Don’t even think twice about it. You have try a cup of this very special soup. You won’t be disappointed. The restaurant is discreetly located behind a gas station and from the outside it doesn’t look like much. In fact it’s not much to look at from inside either. But you know what they say about judging a book by its cover right? Don’t !! The food is excellent. From the meatloaf which is my ultimate comfort food to the steaks, it’s well made and presented. I do have to say the prime rib was a little dry, but let’s not try that here...instead stick to their specialty items and you won’t be disappointed.

I have been dining at Taxis since they opened years ago. I know I can always get a wonderful meal...lots of variety! They have the BEST mussels in town. My husband gets their Tuscan Shrimp Pasta. He says it is perfectly prepared. He should know...lived in Italy for 6 years. When I'm in the mood for burger? Best in Omaha!

I went with some friends after having heard that it was a good restaurant, and I thought it was awesome? I arrived a few minutes before 6pm, and got in on the 1/2 price wine price. I ordered the Salmon salad, and it was perfect in every way. You do need to have a reservation, unless you want to wait.

We used to love this place. But brunch here today was not OK. Breakfast potatoes were undercooked. My eggs were not prepared as ordered. Bacon was greasy. Maybe just a bad day. But beware.

You can always count on Taxi's. Especially for Sunday Brunch. Their omelets are perfection, not dry and tasteless like many other restaurants.
