Good intentions but they need training in efficiency and customer service. Unless things drastically change, I’d skip this place and go to Killens BBQ. Unfortunately the food is average in terms of Texas BBQ and the service is pretty bleak. The ordering process is long and inefficient. There’s 4 people at the registers but one one taking orders for BBQ. The person taking order for food doesn’t know anything about the beers and just offers everyone samples of everything which slows it down even more. The last straw is that in order a side they they never brought. I waited 10 minutes and go inside to ask for it. They said they’ll check on it. I wait another 15 minutes and have to go BACK insid...
my new favorite restaurant! we went there on a Friday, about minutes before they opened. the line wasn't too bad. we've probably waited about minutes before we give up our order. beautiful relaxing music can also be heard outside while waiting line. ideal for visiting with its lines, and sitting up to a wonderful meal. the chocolate case is “convenient” on the way to order their meal. So, of course I stopped and bought one of them. I had the bird bacon sandwich with her house made limonade, my daughter had the brisket blues sandwich, and my son-in-law had pulled brisket and swarm. it was all very good. they have seats inside, outside on a covered veranda with ceiling fans, some tables right...
I highly recommend Tejas for barbecue enthusiasts. Initially, I was disappointed by the traditional BBQ sides offered here. However, the meat at Tejas is exceptional and more than compensates for the sides. In fact, the meat is so good that you won't even miss having sides. My favorite dishes include the brisket baked potato, turkey sandwich, burnt ends, and the Chile Relleno sausage. We no longer bother trying other BBQ places because we know we will be let down. The service at Tejas is top-notch, and the atmosphere is fantastic for a dinner meal. The price per person ranges from $30 to $50. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere at Tejas a perfect 5.
I tried to place an order on the website but it wouldn't go through. I attempted to call, only to find out they don't accept phone orders. I ended up driving to the restaurant and faced a long line, which defeated the purpose of avoiding it in the first place. Whoever made the decision to not accept phone orders deserves this negative review and won't be getting any more business from me. This system may work for some customers, but it definitely did not work for me. Insinuating that I am lying is unacceptable. Refusing to take phone orders, especially when the customer has already stated that the online system isn't working, is just bad business practice.
