Abergavenny, what can I say? You seem to have all the best restaurants. It was a bit embarrassing that I had never visited Llansantffraed Court, a boutique hotel in the area, until last year. The departure of Mike Hendry as head chef (who had previously worked as sous chef during James Sommerin's Michelin-starred reign at The Crown in Whitebrook) and the restaurant subsequently winning the title of the best small restaurant in Wales at the National Tourism Awards made me reconsider.
